Executive Director`s Message

It is my great honor to share this message on behalf of Breaking the Silence (BTS), a non-profit, non-political, and voluntary organization established in 1994. Since its founding, BTS has been devoted to promoting and protecting the rights of children and women, preventing child sexual abuse, child marriage, and violence against women, while advancing child-friendly governance and inclusive development.

BTS continues to work to improve the quality of education, strengthen daycare and Early Childhood Development (ECD) centres, and address the impacts of climate change on children and women. Alongside these efforts, the organization empowers adolescents, youths, and women through skills development and livelihood opportunities, ensuring their active participation in social and economic life.

Guided by its mission to protect and empower children and women, and its vision of a society that values their rights and voices, BTS operates through its strategic priorities (2022–2026) — Child Rights and Protection, Youth Development, Women Empowerment, Gender Equity, Climate Change and Humanitarian Response, Health and WASH, and Organizational Development.

BTS remains committed to fostering justice, equality, and opportunity while contributing to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). I extend my sincere gratitude to our dedicated team, partners, and supporters for their unwavering cooperation in advancing our shared vision of a safer and more equitable society for all.
