Outcome 1.  Adolescent and youth (15-24) displaced or at risk of displacement from vulnerable communities have meaningful access to safe sports activities to enhance their physical, mental, and psychosocial wellbeing and participate in sports activities regularly.

Outcome 2.  Adolescents and youth displaced or at risk of displacement participating in Sports for Protection and related activities have contributed to sustainable local solutions through youth-led initiatives.

Outcome 3.  Sports actors at local, district and national level contribute to creating an enabling environment for safe sports participation for youth and adolescents in Dhaka and Kurigram.

1. Youth initiatives have been supported by Community Facilitators and Youth Champions under the SPiRiT project. For example, a total of 20 rooftop gardens and 10 balcony gardens have been established as part of youth-led initiatives. Other initiatives include waste management, where in Beguntila Slum the City Corporation provided a portable dustbin. In addition, Youth Club and library activities are ongoing, where adolescents and children regularly study. Youth Champions have also prevented 11 cases of child marriage in their community. Another important initiative is the school-based Eco Club, which conducts monthly follow-ups on eco-friendly activities.

2. Community members are actively promoting girls’ sports. Through their support, girls can now play freely in community playgrounds and learn about protection and empowerment through sports.

3. A total of 12 Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) have been included in the SPiRiT project activities.
